7 months, 2 weeks , and 3 days left. 68th week!!

so this was a great week we had a fhe last night with a lot of members and less actives and investigators it was on the spirit of Christ in Christmas and how to remember him and we played some games and had some food it was very successful and the investigators said they loved it it was awesome. we also had a really good week on Tuesday we had a crazy day where it rained for over 30 hours strait we thought it was gonna flood then it cleared out on Thursday then on Friday after our sports night we had a flat tyre but it was almost a record change i reckon it was only 5 to 10 min it took us to change it next time i'm gonna set a stop watch it'll be good fun. and we found a new investigator this wee through a part member family and they seem heaps keen we have a appointment this week with them i'm very excited for them they already seem like a active family should be good keep them in your prayers please. whats new in the US? i heard yous got a little bit of snow. does it feel like Christmas so as for calls are any of you gonna be together on Christmas day should i call and talk on speaker for a bit then call Dan an Jesse or just call everyone separate for 10 min a piece? up to yous just let me know cause p day is next Wednesday for me. so this is my last email before Christmas. Well hope all is well have a great week love yous

One long, Hard week. 62!

Well this week has seemed supper fast but when looking back on all that happened it seems like a lifetime i can hardly remember what happened last week its a very weird feeling. but i am quite glad the week is over. i'm not even to sure what to write since i got to talk to yous this week but thanks for all that everyone did. I was glad to hear that there was lots of support from people at the funeral and what not. thanks heaps for everything its nice to know that all is takin care of it helps me relax and not worry about things from home. as for the missionary work this week it was good we had alot of meetings but yesterday we had a great day we went on splits with the ward mission leader and a couple of recent convert and we saw heaps of people and taught i think 7 lessons which is always great i love teaching it just makes ya happy and we met a family who hasn't been to church in ages and only two of the kids are members and the one boy said he had been thinking all day i should go back to church and then we rocked up. god works in mysterious ways we have an appointment with them this week so i'll lets yous know more about it next week. but thats about all i have for this week just want yous all to know that i know this church is true and that all the trials we face we'll be for our benefit and will make us stronger and our saviour is here to help us always. 61 Weeks!

how is everyone doing? it is pday once again and i kinda feels like i just wrote home yesterday. so not much is new we had zone conference last week which was good we learned more about helping people make and keep commitments which is always an important thing its probably the most important thing in missionary work cause without commitments people can't really change. we found 2 investigators this week one is a younger lady we are pretty excited about teaching her she is kean as to learn but says she won't convert but as she learns the spirit can change that easy as we. thats about it for this week hope all is well thanks for all that yous do. the church is true i know it and i know that yous know it never forget it and remeber the basic 3 love yous Elder Dalton

60 weeks down!

so i have to start off this weeks email with a funny story so we went around to a less actives family yesterday and they were friendly and welcomed us in and we talked with them about church and family prayer and shared a thought with them but the funny thing was they made us scolding hot hot coco which was a great thought to give to us except it was around 85 degrees yesterday and in the house it was at least 85 haha so myself and my companion were sweating like crazy cause we didn't wanna be rude. ha it was good fun. but we had a good week we found one new investigator and had some real good lessons we taught these 2 blokes who were kean as but they live outside our area they were just house sitting so someone else gets them but thats alright its all the same work. but thats about it for this week and my comp is actually from caldwell i got it wrong my bad. but hes real good we are having fun doing the work its not to shy at all which is a good change he likes talking with everyone its fun we kind of chase people down sometimes too. hope all is well love yous Elder Dalton

Week 59!

Dearest Family, How was your week? What is new? My week was good nothin to exciting happened we found 2 new investigators that is always exciting. Transfer calls were today i'm staying in the same area but getting a new companion his name is Elder Robertson and i believe he is from Idaho falls so thats cool he has been an assistant to the president for the last 6 months and finishes his mission in 2 transfers so that'll be good hes a great missionary i'm excited to serve with him. i'll tell you more about him next week. But thats about all for this week. Wanted to share a scripture with yous though first is ether 12:4 its a favorite might have shared it before and the other is jacob 6:12 it reads "o be wise what need i say more" i love how simple and plain it is no misunderstanding that one. but conference was this weekend also it was heaps good i'm not to sure if i have a favorite i'm looking forward to rereading some and getting more from them but the first presidency's are always favorites and Elder hollands it was good. Hope all is well and that you have a great week love yous all. Elder Dalton

Week 58!

Gday hope all is well we had a decent week this week it was filled with meeting on wednesday we had zone leader council and on thursday we had interviews and on friday we had zone meeting and on tuesday we had stake council meeting so we didn't get to much time of being in our area this weekbut that happens sometimes. hopefully this week we'll get to spend more time outside talking with people. how has everyone been has dad gotten a new car? how is everything going for everyone. what was everyones favorite talk from conference? we get to watch it this week sorry its not a long letter this week just don't really have any stories cause we were in meeting alot but zone leader council is always cool cause we spend 5 hours talking about the mission and how it is going and what needs help and then president and the assiants give us the training on what we are to train the zone on its good fun we are focusing alot on using the book of mormon in everything we do as missionaries which is always good i love going over training for the book of mormon. i know it to be true and that is how poeple gain a testimony is through the spirit by reading the book of mormon. what a marvelous work. Love Elder Dalton.

57!

Hey family i emailed some pics to annie and she is gonna forward them to yous cause my computer is having a tough time or its the operator ha i'm not to sure but this was a good week nothin new the baptism went well last week and i almost gave a talk in sacrament but the lady ended up showing up the talk was gonna be on being an example of the believers maybe i'lll give it another time we had a cool experience yesterday when we went to visit an investigator to play touch with us cause he loves rugby but hes a minister for the 7th day adventence church sorry its spelled wrong most likely but he invited us to stay for lunch and of course we accepted hes samoan also so ya then we had a real good chat with him about the church and we shared doctorine back and forth and talked about bible scriptures and we were very similar and he seemed to agree with us except on the 7th day difference and so we said we would study it out more and get back to him and up until this point he didn't want a book of mormon but when we told him that he said well boys since your gonna do that for me give me a book of mormon and i'll give it a read and then we were able to talk about that invited him to read and pray and he said he liked how we depend on the spirit so it was a hectic visit it was great. thats about it for this week thanks for everything yous are all great hope all is well love Elder Dalton so here is some pics the first is me with the missionary that i trained elder peters and then the other missionary is the missionary that elder peters trained so in mission talk this is my son and grandson then the next is of one of the beaches we lived by its pretty ay? and the other is of one of the families in my last area they were awesome the Chan Boons they have 6 boys a great family. the nest two is me and my new comp elder cowley in front of the perth city. this week was a pretty good week nothin to new that i can think of but we had a baptism on saturday which was great he is 10 and his mom is a returning less active it was great those are always great but thats all i can think of for this week sorry its short hopefully you's enjoy the pics love you all

53 Full weeks..

So it was another good week not to much happened we got to do alot of service which was great and we did have a baptism in our area so that was cool they met him 3 weeks ago and he got baptised on saturday hes cool he'll be a good member i had the opportunity to interview him which was really cool thats fun to interview. It was a joint baptism with a mom and her 12 year old son who the zone leaders were teaching so it was a really cool day. oh and we had transfers today and i'm moving to the thornley area which is in the zone that i started my mission in so that will be pretty cool to go back to the same stake. thats all i can really think of as for whats new. i heard byu won there first game thats good to hear. as for my favorite food in australia it would probably be chop suay or a taro leave and corn beef dish but those are both polynesian dishes so not to australian ha but aussies eat a lot of sausages and there not the best to be honest ha so ya thats my favorite and the members feed us on average 1 to 2 nights a week probably depending on the area my new area i've heard is pretty good so we'll have to see. i'm sad to be leaving my area though cause i was really starting to enjoy it but it'll be good to meet new people and stuff again i'm excited. i think that is all i hope all is well. just remember i know the church is true and happiness only comes through living the gospel love you all thanks. Love Elder Dalton

51 here we come...

How was everyones week? mine was good thanks for asking it was pretty normal we had a cool experience though there is a less active in our area with m.s. so she is pretty much bedridden and her days are sometimes good and others she is really sick but she loves the book of mormon and we go around weekly and read to her and this week was cool cause she was quite tired but she wanted us to read so we read for an hour with her and it was cool how peaceful she was when we would read and everyone once in a while we would think that she was sleeping but then she would give a little smile or say keep reading please but its always tough to say goodbye to her cause she loves the visits and it always makes her happy then we we leave she seems sad i really enjoy her visits and we have met a few people from contacting this week which was also very good i love talking to people i still get nervous sometimes when i see people but once i say hello i love just chatting and talking about the gospel its great. thats about it for this week though and we helped someone move this morning which is always good i like getting to do so physical labor every now and again along with the spiritual work. So whats new in everyone's life how are the aunts uncles cousins and greandparents doing? good i hope has school started back up now? I hope all is well and that everyone has a good week. remember the church is true and the book is blue.......and black and sometimes red but its always the same gospel in it. love you all KIA KAHA stand strong and tall Love Elder Dalton

Week 49! One year down, One to go!

so hello there once again this was a good week not to different then any other though but i did get to see the beach this week. Cause this week i also got to conduct my first baptismal interview which was pretty cool and then we were taking the elders home and they live right next to the ocean so we drove down and took some pictures it was cool but it was kinda a chilly day. that was about it for this weeks news except yesterday at church the missionaries that live in the same flat as us had a cool experience myself and my companion were talking to some members and the other two elders were just waiting outside when a man walked up to them and asked how to become a member of the church and they were kinda shocked but they just said come in and we'll tell you so they went and had a lesson with him and set a baptismal date with him so that was really cool. its crazy how god works sometimes but its amazing to see it happen. so how was this week for everyone else? i hope it was great. always remember that the church is true and the gospel is the only way to find true everlasting happiness and the scriptures are here to help us through our struggles. thanks for everything Love Elder Dalton

Week 48, Almost a year!!

Hello Family, Friends and fan club! Do ya miss me yet haha. so whats new with everyone? i hope it was yet another good week for everyone. sometimes it feels like i just write the same stuff over and over each week but thats ok i guess as long as i write. so this week for me was good so we got transfer calls and both myself and my comp are staying in the area and i'm district leader again. so we had district meeting on friday and i think and hope it went ok its kinda weird giving training to other missionaries but its fun too cause it gives me more stuff to study. so are one investigator that seemed to be doing really well dropped us this week which was pretty sad since we only really had the two who where progressing now we are down to one but hopefully she'll take the time to think more about what she has been taught and will take the time to pray so its ok and the members in our area are really keen to do missionary work so hopefully all the member visits and stuff we've been doing will pay off soon. its been a good week and the area is good i enjoy it and i love the people here being a missionary is the greatest the pictures are of us on are roof ha we got bored so we decided to be the angel moroni good times. hope all is well love you guys have a great week. love Elder Dalton

Another week has come and gone, Week 47!

hey family, How is everyone? i hope all is well this was a good week it was the last week of the transfer so today we get the transfer calls so i'll let ya know what happened next week. but this week we had a baptism it was a 12 year girl named honee-lee her sister storm got baptised the first week i was here so hopefully now the mum and the partner will get baptised next i didn't go to the baptism though cause i was on splits but i heard it was an ok one not the best though which is a bummer but that happens i guess i just don't think everything ran as smoothly as was planned but that happens but she got baptised so thats the important thing. but as for the best thing that has happened in the past year kbug would probably of been teaching and taking part in ellens baptism and to see her and tk make goals to get sealed in the temple and then to see her dad get baptised was really cool i will never forget them or that experience. and nothin is new in the mission except that a few really good missionaries finish and go home tomorrow which is kinda sad. but president is really good i like him i still don't hardly know him but he seems great and to kbug as for anything i need or want i don't know of anything when summer comes in about oct i'll probably ask for a few new white shirts but thats it but i don't need them yet thanks tho and dan and jesse looks like the chickens are getting quite productive now day i bet cinch enjoys gatherin the eggs. Two questions did anyone know where the baker name originates from? and dad have ya had any luck with getting a line of authority? love Elder Dalton

Week 46! ONE YEAR and 19 DAYS left!

dear family this was another normal missionary week which i suppose is a good thing. the beginnings of the weeks are really busy which is good we usually have 2 or 3 lessons a day which is awesome but the end of the weeks are slow for some reason so we are trying to think of ways to amp up the work. we had a touch tournament this weekend that was pretty good we had a pretty good turn out alot of members and investigators and it was good fun then we went from that to kevin's baptism which was good also one of the member boys in our area was baptised with him so that was really good tk and ellen came down for the baptism so i got to see them also which was good i really liked gettin to see them again and that was about it for this week we are playin touch and flag football today for pday so that should be real fun plus its raining so that'll make it even better. how is everyone doing? whats new? i saw a picture of dalton playing baseball on annies blog he sure has gotten big and grown up alot looks like all is well though and kbug said everyone had a good time at kyles and brits so thats good. the pics are of the baptism and then our district and then one of me and my comp in the background in our area haha i took it myself thats why its such a good picture ha hope ya enjoy it i hope all is well have a great week love Elder Dalton

week 43

first of all happy fathers day dad and happy fathers day to all the other fathers i hope it was a great one. so i found out the real spelling of my new area and i was way off ha its kwinana and we are staying in a four man flat and i'm what is called the presiding elder haha its just a made up assignment i think ha but thats alright its been a good week it was really slow but we did set up a baptism for this friday so that should keep us busy this week so that'll be good but we got doubled into the area and there wasn't much goin on so we are trying to find new people but we met some new members on sunday and they seem keen to help us out and do missionary work so we are really excited to start working with them the ward seems pretty good i'm excited. we have a few set appointments this week so that'll make it a good week. and my comp is american he is from utah his name is elder bangerter hes a great missionary he is very shy though but hopefully we'll get him out of that ha he said he has already gotten more talkative on his mission so thats cool but there is alot of quiet tiem on the flat sometimes but thats ok its nice i really like him though all my companions on the mission have all been very different but are all very cool in there own ways i've loved serving with all of them and learning from them even when you don't have alot in common its still pretty easy to get along as long as your both focused on your purpose its a cool thing. i hope all is well and i double checked the scripture is ether 12:4 its a great scripture i love you guys and thanks for everything have a great week. let me know whats new in life? Love Elder Dalton

Week 42!!

thats good to hear. glad all is well so we got transfer calls and i got some bad news.......i'm getting transferred which kinda stinks i really like it hear and i feel like i could still do more but thats alright heavenly father knows better so i'm headed back to the city to a place called qwana i think is how ya spell it so thats good i guess but one good thing is i think its by the ocean so i might actually get to see the ocean finally. so that'll be fun but i'm alittle sad to be leaving this area i loved it here and i love the people i will never forget them thats for sure but i figured i would get transfered but i was hoping not but i'll tell you more about the new area when i get there and how its actually spelled but ya it is finally getting chilly here its very nice but the biggest difference between australia and the us would probably of been the accents when i first got here but now thats normal to me and the american accent actually kinda sounds foriegn to me even though i still speak it i'm just not around it that much so its weird hearing it. but as for the biggest difference now would be just the red dirt but i'm pretty much use to everything its even natural for me to drive on the other side of the road now i would say the economy is alot different especially in kalgoorlie its booming i would say just cause the mines the world always needs resources so the mines just seem to always pay good and are always looking for workers so thats pretty cool. so i hope all is well with everyone. is there anything new happening with anyone? the pictures are just of the district in kalgoorlie and then us with president and sister smibert. thats it for this week i love you guys thanks for everything and a good scripture is ether 12 4 i think ha its about hope anyways and i know its in ether and is verse 4 but not sure if its chapter 12 i'll check for next week love you all have a great week thanks heaps for everything Love Elder Dalton

ha couldn't think of any other words that sounded the same so whats new with the family? how is everyone? has summer hit yet? whats the weather like? are the kids on summer break yet? its getting pretty chilly here not cold but chilly i love it ha its so much nicer then summer but this week was yet again like many other weeks nothin new happened but president smibert did come up for branch conference and what not and that was really good and our new mission presdient starts on the 1st of july so that could be the last time i see president unless i get transfered which is happening next week so who knows what will happen. i have pictures of president and sister smibert with me and the district that i'll send next week cause the computer i'm on doesn't have the right connections but ya thats it for this week at the fireside on sunday night it was good but quite funny cause president said he had it all sorted out and then when it started he just called two people from the audience to speak and then he called on us four missionaries to sing a song and then he talked it was a really good meeting though. i hope all is well and everyone has a great week love ya all Elder Dalton

Weeks 39 :)

hello again so this week was the same as any other the area is a bit slow right now but we are working hard and i'm sure it'll pick up shortly. hmmm thats about it but yesterday after church we went over to tk and ellens house cause there back porch over looks the horse racing track its about 10 meters away is all and they were having races yesterday and since i've never seen ahorse race in real life i decided to take this opportunity ha it was pretty cool but i don't see how people can go to those all the time they are only exciting for about 2 min while the horses run then its like an hour of sitting there ha but it was cool. so when i first came out on the mission i thought for sure i would always have stuff to say and there would never be a short email but lately it seems like its just repeats of the same weeks haha so i never really have anything new to say sorry about that but tell all the family i said hello and that i love them and i heard about grandma i'm sure mom welcomed her with a big hug i know they'll be doin alot of good work together love you all thanks for everything Love Elder Dalton

Week 37 ( 9 Months )

so another week has came and went just like any other and so i didn't get transfered thank goodness but sadly my irish comp did and i got a new comp from new zealand he's cool as i was very happy to get another polynesian comp its great and i served around him in my last area so i already got along with him well hes a good missionary and as for being district leader i now get to give training and stuff when we have our weekly district meetings and i corrolate with the zone leaders its pretty much the same just now i have to make a few more phone calls and i get to prepare lesson type things its cool. so as for this week we had to drive to perth to drop off our comps ad pick up our new ones and thats a 6 and a half hour drive if you don't stop so its quite boring but we stayed in perth for a few nights and went on exchanges with some of the elders there it was kinda nice to be back in the city for a few days but then i was even more excited to come back to kalgoorlie i love it here. but thats about it thanks for everything love you guys the book is blue and the church is true especially for me and you and everyone else in the world so share it with everyone how bout everyone tries this week to share the gospel with one person and pray for opportunities and heavenly father will help us out cause this is his work and what he wants. love Elder Dalton HAVE A GREAT WEEK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! kia kaha FOREVER STRONG

Week 36

Hello family and friends how is everyone? so this was an amazing week i have never had this good of experience yet on the mission so ellen got baptised on saturday and we started fasting on friday and at forst like always i was just starving but then as the baptism came up the spirit was so strong and i was so excited that the baptism was finally happening and tk was excited because this is his mrs gettin baptised and they have a goal to go to the temple so it was great and heaps of her family and friends came all nonmembers and they said that they felt the spirit so we are hoping to get a few new investigators from it it was amazing. i love this area its great and i found out this morning that i'm staying for another transfer so that'll make 4 transfers here and i'm the district leader now so i'm very excited to stay here i think theres still alot that can happen so i'm looking forward to it. we find most are people from contacting on the street or from members but mainly less active members and all the investigators we have that are progressing the most are from the less actives thats the best way to find people. Cause tracting is a weakness i have i don't enjoy it very much haha but it's slowly growing on me but as for weird creatures nothing i keep the flats clean so we don't get cockroches or however ya spell it so thats nice. and as for a car we haven't had a car we just walk mainly or if we have to go far our district leader would give us a ride but now that i'm district leader we get the car haha so that'll be nice we'll still probably walk heaps as for church we go to the same branch every week our areas all include just one ward and most wards have at least 2 sets of missionaries. but as for workin out vince its how i release my stress and stuff its relaxing for me so it makes my days better plus i don't get depressed cause i don't put on weight haha thats cool about work and thats for sure the truth cause our presidents lets us have wiggle room on our schudule to meet the needs of are area such as visiting people before 10 if thats the only time they can meet and studying at a different time its nice. President is really cool but this is his last transfer but as for the new president i haven't really heard anything about him. as for transfers we get called on monday and transfers are on tuesdays but i'm stayin agian thank goodness. as for workouts in the morning i do pushups situps pull ups stuff like that then in the evening i do squats and skip rope and more cardio stuff its really been helping and i follow a low carb diet when i'm not at members homes. trainin was great i really enjoyed it i wanted to train again but all is well as for good and bad about training for good is the greenie fire and the excitement they have and getting to be an example to them and helping them and seeing them grow as for bad propably just were your there first comp they have to get use to living with someone and adjusting to the mission. but i do have a little bit of an different accent i guess we'll just have to see but as for food its pretty much they same i think and for breakfast i just have a protein shake and fruit its great and its non members and members that say there is somethin different and all i can figure is that thats mom i'm not sure how to explain it but i'm sure they can feel her spirit too i love the mission and this was a great week thanks everyone and i love you guys. Week 35 :)

hello everyone i hope all is well so this week was just the same as any other but today is a exciting day tk and ellen are getting married today and then she is gettin baptised on saturday we are all very excited for that and we are helping out at the wedding we are the ushers so thats pretty exciting too. but as for new stuff happening transfers are next week but i kinda hope i don't get transferred but whatever happens will be alright and the area is great its finally getting cold enough that i have to sleep with sheets at night which is quite nice i've missed that and its not to hot during the days anymore i love this area i hope i can stay for a little while longer. YEsterday was conference which was great like always and jack the guy in the last photo was ordained an elder and i got to do that for him so it was really cool i was quite happy and honored hes a real good guy. sorry my emails are so short now days it just doesn't seem like there is much to write about so if you guys have any questions ask them and i'll respond love you have a great week. Love Elder Dalton the first two pics are of the baptism thats aniwa and her uncle and the last pic is with jack thats tk's younger brother hes real good and they were doin there pokana or the scary face for the haka but i was a bit quick with my face so by time the picture was taken i was done already ha my bad hopefully i'll send you a video home soon of us doing the haka.

Week 34!

so this was a great week we had the zone leaders come up during the week and we had exchanges it was nice to be around other missionaries again and to mix things up then on saturday we had a baptism it was really good.aniwa was so excited she was awesome then she got confirmed on sunday and i got to do that it was really cool it was sweet to see how happy she was that day and there was like this new light in her eyes it seemed like it was amazing i love baptisms and then this week we have conference and next week ellen gets baptised i'm so excited there great today we are spending our pday we tk and ellen helping them clean up and just havin fun its great. there really good. we've been havin a tough time finding new investigators though thats what we are trying to work on now its been slow the last transfer but its teaching me to just keep goin its good the things ya learn i love it. so whats new with everyone back home? i hope all is well keep doin the basics and looking for missionary opportunities the church is true love you guys love Elder Dalton

this was a good week but nothin new happened just the good ole missionary work our investigators are still goin great and the work is moving forward i love it here the people and branch are great. i heard conference was good we get to watch it on the 21 and 22 cause they send us a recording of it so i'm lookin forward to getting to watch it. i know without a doubt the church is true cause i love bein a missionary and teaching people about the doctrine of jesus christ and helping them increase and develop their faith in god and jesus christ and to be able to see the spirit work inside them testifying of the truthfulness of the gospel of jesus christ. sorry its short love you guys hope all is well Love Elder Dalton

Week 31!

hello there so joke there are two missionaries one wakes up every morning at 630 and works out the other wakes up and lays on his back and pretends to stretch then one day they knock on the door and a lion is there when it open up so they turn to each other and say every man for himself and start to run the one who did his work outs is way a head of the one that didn't do them so the one who is tired jumps behind a bush and hits his knees to start praying for protection and when he opens his eyes he sees the lion in front of him and hears the lion say dear heavenly father please bless the food that i am about to partake of hahahaha the moral of the story i'm not sure i suppose to be obedient and do your excercise haha so this week was a good week nothin to special just same old stuff which is actually quite special if ya think about it so i suppose it was a very special week ellen is still progressing and is very excited for her baptism. so all is well here it finally cooled off here which is great i love it here the branch is awesome and the people are even better the mission is great. how is everything back home? whats new in the family and world and what not? i hope all is well i know the church is true and i love bein a missionary love you guys.

28 weeks! :)

So my family and Friends this was a great week we had a district conference with our mission president and elder and sister hamula of the 70 and our area president it was awesome the training we recieved was great and we even had the chance to be interviewed by him so that was pretty neat he's a great man and a really tall man and also he did a fireside for our branch which was great and some other great news is that one of our investigators named ellen has committed to be baptised i told you guys about her a few emails back her partner is a member and they are getting married in april and when we first met her she said she would be hard to convert and that she would never convert and my comp and i looked at each other and smiled cause we new that the spirit can and will do anything and we had the chance to teach her and she opened her heart and allowed the spirit to work within her and because of her faith and desire she is now very excited to get baptised and she knows the church is true its amazing to see the spirit work in the lifes of everyone i know the church is true no doubt i know the book of mormon is the word of god and the most correct of any book i love this church and serving a mission its amazing.Love Elder Dalton

Week 27

hey fam so this week went really fast it was nice we had heaps of set appointments and we are teaching 7 investigators now i do believe its really cool to see the progress and i found out yesterday that in the area i was last in they had 3 baptisms of people i had the chance to teach so that was really exciting also i love to see how the lord has blessed us missionary work is the bomb digity. but ya this week was really good went by fast we were able to teach quite a bit and we got 3 new investigators and in the mission we were blessed with 27 baptisms which is the most the APM mission has had in one month in 12 years so the work is movin forward really well our mission president is keen hes real gun and very onto missionary work. we found out who are new mission president will be his name is President Lindsay from sandy utah he will come to the mission in june so thats kinda cool and this week our area president elder hamula is comin to our mission and even better to our area and he is havin a fireside with us it will be really cool we are havin a little district meeting with him also i'm really excited it'll be really nifty so i think that is all that is new with me my comp is the man he is progressing and growing daily i love this work and i love getting to teach. the church is true for sure i also had the chance to speak in sacrament yesterday on the blessing of having the companionship of the holy ghost it was great i loved getting to talk i hope the members learned also love you guys thanks for everything. Week 26

so this week was good we had quite a few set appointments which was a first since i've been here the area is really goin forward now its progressing we are teaching 5 investigators and have an appointment this week with two potential investigators that are really keen he's already been reading the book of mormon so it'll be great i love when we are able to have people to teach and when we are able to find new investigators each week its greats. and we've been playin basketball and throwin the rugby ball around in the morning for morning excercise and thats really helped out to help me have real good days it just makes the days flow better when you get a good work out in the mornin. so whats new with the family this week whats happening in the U S of A this week we had some real hot days we had 3 days when it was about 112 degrees it was hot not use to that but now when it gets down to like 85 or 90 it feels quite cool its pretty weird. oh and the other elders in my ward have set a baptismal date with an investigator so thats really cool and we are hopin to set one or two this week so its been really good we've had lots of tender mercies in this area its been really cool. the church is true and god loves us and watches out for us its really cool to see his hand in the work. i hope all is well Love Elder Dalton

Week 25

so the mission is goin great its fun to be out 6 months it kinda makes me feel like a real missionary ha like i actually know whats goin on and people don't think i'm green anymore so thats been quite nice i really enjoy it. espcially cause now i'm not really scared to do anything that you do as a missionary its all pretty natural now i love talkin to people here but sadly the people here still aren't to talkative its quite hard to get them to stop but when they do i love that. so its been crazy training because he has a really hard time talkin to people on the streets and almost everyday we go city contacting and at first it was hard to get him to even say hello to anyone but its fun to see him progress because now he has had a conversation with 2 people but he still gets a little nervous when it comes to teaching and asking if we can come around so he just looks at me and usually i help him out hes a great missionary and its really cool to see how much he is growin he is quite smart though alot smarter then i was when i came out so thats really good. as for the week it was a good weeek we found one new investigator he's fijian and hes cool as i'm really lookin forward to teaching him we plan on setting a baptismal date with him he seems really keen so thats cool and our other investigators are doin good we have a few set appointments this week with them which is really good i think this is the first week since i've been in the new area that we've had a few set appointments with investigators so i'm really excited cause i LOVE TEACHIN its the best. finding is alright but teachin is the best i love it there is nothin better but thats about it for this week thanks for all that you do and the great examples that you all are. hope all is well and that you have a great week. the church is true i want everyone to know that i know that i'm proud of the testimony i have finally gained in my life because it was not always there but now i know this is the one and only true church of jesus christ and i'm so thankful to be a part of it. so tell the world the great news that the church is true. love you all Elder Dalton

Week 24, 6 months DONE!

so family its good to be emailing once again another week has came and past. and i'm getting older today i was brushing my hair and to my surprise i found a gray or maybe even white hair but then to even more of a surprise i got to looking around and there was like 10 that i counted so i don't whats causing it but i'm getting gray hairs it must be cause i'm so wise haha anyways so lissy to answer some questions i think that the irish accent is pretty cool so i think i might be partail to the irish accent over the australian one although a proper australia accent is quite amazing the irish win though but i like scottish the best i think or a fresh samoan ha theres heaps of accents here. but this week was normal we were able to teach quite a few less actives so that was good and since we've got here i think about 3 less active families have started coming back to church and haven't missed a week so that is really cool but one of our big focuses here is having members pray for missionary experiences or times they can share the gospel and i got to thinking this week as i was talkin to a member whose son just got home from a mission i was thinkin hmmm i wish he would of told you to help the missionaries out and try to share the gospel so then i thought hmmm i need to tell my family and friends ha so i'm not sure if that was a great thought but i did want to challenge or invite whatever ya want to call it to pray for an opportunity to share your testimony with someone that would be interested and then maybe the missionaries could come around and teach that person in your home but ya thats just a thought i had and i wanted to tell yous guys about but thats about it for this week thanks for everything and i do know the church is true no doubt and each day my knowledge and testimony grows especially as i seek to share it with everyone. a testimony that is freely shared is kept but a testimony that is selfishly kept to ones self is lost i love that quote and i can promise that that is true and that if you pray for an experience heavenly father will bless you love you guys love elder dalton

Week 23!

Hello my dearest family and friends so this week was good it went fast pretty uneventful except president smibert came up and visited us this weekend and spoke to the ward and gave some good talks and lessons to the ward about missionary work and helping the missionaries out which is me and my comp oh ya with finding people to teach so that the members can teach with us and fellowship others. so it was really good and the ward is keen they are very excited we have a good family home evening planned for tonight i'm excited and as for a funny story this week we were helping a couple move and i was in my shrit and tie and stuff and they had a little fridge and so i squated down to lift it and to my surprise i guess my pants were tighter then i thought ha "BOOM" i ripped about a 10 inch hole in my crouch of my pants i was laughing very hard luckily the guy is my size and i borrowed some pants but it was a great week we taught a great lesson last night a very spiritaul man he was and the spirit was very strong i know he felt it it was awesome i love teachin so much but i know the church is true and i love doin the work and teaching everyone that i can about the restored gospel of jesus christ. thanks for all you do and the great examples you all are love you guys. WEEK 22!!

Hello everyone, so as for this week quite a bit happened on the companion side of things so last week we got a third missionary and we were like that for a week and then this week on wednesday night President called me and asked if i would train a new missionary and of course ya don't tell the Mission President no so then on thursday evening my new companion got here and i have been with him now and they split the kalgoorlie area into two areas now so ya its kinda been a busy week which was good but it was cool they let us split the area so that was fun and it made me feel important. ha but anyways my companion is whiter then me which is different never had that happen before ha hes irish hes cool as and gung ho on missionary work its fun to be around him cause he's so excited just to be out workin and such and this week has been hot as it was 100 degrees the past few days and he said in ireland it doesn't get to like over 85 it sounds like so hes strugglin a little bit with the heat and the biking but other then that hes lovin i think but ya its good to be around his excited greeny fire self. he's really cool i'll try to get a picture up next week so ya as for anything else this week nothin to new just really tryin to get the area progressing its still a little slow especially since we split it but in a few weeks the two areas will be even better because we are able to get to all of the city more now so thats good. So we've been livin with the other elders so there is the 4 of us in the one flat which is a bit tight and a little messy and hot but we got our new flat today so thats good i'll be happy to have a little more space again. hmmm i think thats about it except all are bikes are falling apart too ha i'm not sure why but they are so we have spent quite a bit of time babyin them ha but rumor has it that we might be getting a car this week so that would make me very happy cause its just suppose to keep getting hotter here. but thats it for this week we had another lesson with the young lady i told you guys about so thats cool its always great to teach i love it. the church is true guys i know it. no doubt i love teaching and studyin being a missionary is great fun even when you knock on peoples doors and you feel nasty cause your shirt is wet with sweat thats just part of the fun/ love you guys have a great week read your scriptures and say your prayers love ya all. LIVESTRONG Families can be together forever and ours will be together again love you guys. Love Elder Dalton

Week 21 :))

so fam this week was good it went fast we have a few potentials but no new investigators but we did have another great lesson with the same lady and she is really keen there awesome and we are getting another set of elders in the area so i might get split up from my comp after 4 weeks but not to sure yet i'll let ya know next week but thats about it for this week sorry its short but ya and its been really hot then it rains the next day its pretty hectic weather but i kinda like it so ya its bit crazy here and where its a desert it floods pretty easy like the roads just flow with water ha i did a little of biking in the rain the other day good stuff ha so i hope all is well love you guys and remember like dan use to tell us in his emails home the church is true and the book is blue love you all hope you have a great week and i will email more next week. love Elder Dalton

Week 20

So Family and friends this week went by pretty fast and we had a lot of days of contacting people and looking for new investigators so the city of kalgoorlie is pretty dead during the day cause everyone is working or sleeping we are on bikes and we talk to everyone we see and we are only able to contact maybe 10 people a day its crazy slow. so ya we had no investigators when we got here but now we have 2 OH YA ha its cool the work is slow here but its progressing the branch is awesome and i think they like us and trust us so thats cool cause that was one of our goals was to gain back the trust of the members so ya but the only real story that happened this week was pretty cool but it was we'd been goin through the ward list and trying to get in contact with the less actives and we weren't having much success so on saturday we went looking for this one guy and we finally found him and he invited us in and he was planning his wedding so he wanted out of the house so he took us for an hour drive around kal to see what is called the super pit its like the 3rd largest open pit mine in the world its awesome ha but anyways we got to talking and stuff and we found out his fiance however its spelt wasn't a member but she was familiar with the religion and she comes to church and stuff so that was cool then we went back to his house and he invited us for dinner but we were fasting so he said well how bout tomorrow and of course we sadi alright and he said he'd come to church so then sunday came and they were at church and then we went around and had a feed then talked then shared a thought and then we said we'd like to know if she would want to learn more and he was like yes if thats ok with her and she said she wanted to learn but she said she would be hard to convert and i said no worries our goal is just to teach she's the one who has to ask for herself whether it is true or not and then heavenly father will take care of the rest but in my head i was laughing thinking no worries heavenly father can show anyone the truth so it was a really cool experience especially cause we fasted for people to teach and our fast was answered like an hour after we finished fasting. so ya it was really cool i was very excited not gonna lie but ya that was pretty much it for this week thanks for the emails glad to hear all is well. love you all the church is true through and through LOVE Elder Dalton

Week 18&19

so last time i wrote and put week 18 i was wrong it was actually week 17 my bad so last week i got to talk to you guys on the phone so you pretty much know everything that happened. but ya that was the last week so as for this week on tuesday we had a mission p day and we had transfer meeting and my new comp is samoan again hes cool as his name is elder fatupaito hes sweet and the area is hot ha its just real red sand its a hard core desert the first day here it was 40 cel which is like 105 it was hot and we are just on bikes again so we sweat alot its crazy its a crazy mining town all the people are into money here they just work and drink its crazy. anyways after transfer meeting on tuesday we did the haka for president and sister cahoon then we did some skits and stuff and just hung out as a mission then went back to work then on wednesday we had a mission conference with the new pres he is from bribane and his name is president smibert he is just here for 6 months then we'll get a new one. so then on thursday at seven we got a train and headed to kalgoorlie and we got here at 2 it was a long ride but it was cool to see what kind of country is out here i got to see alot of farm country too it looks to be all dry farms but the sad thing was traveling all through that country and i still didn't see a kangaroo i'm starting to think there are no roos here. and then since then we have just been trying to find investigators and get familiar with the ward its weird getting doubled into the area cause neither of us know whats goin on but we are gettin some people to teach now so thats good there is noone on the streets its crazy they say its too hot people are either just working or in there houses but its a good area just the people so far haven;t been to interested but the branch is great like 150 to 200 people and so we are just trying to build a relationship with them. And find through them so we can have fellowship right area. its a great area we are really out in the middle of no where its nice to be riding and see country and hills on the horizon its really cool i like it here just gotta get use to the heat so i think thats it for this week. love you guys love elder Dalton thanks for everything
